Every size and every distance comes out of two ratios, a major third for type and a perfect fourth for space. That is what a design system is for: one decision that holds a hundred others in place, so the next person to touch it can only be consistent.

I run the infrastructure it is served from, so performance is something I can fix on a Sunday instead of filing a ticket about. Designed in Figma, built in Next.js and React Native, shipped on infrastructure I keep running.
What you keep
The Figma file and its component system, the repository, the design system written down where your next developer will look for it, and the deployment running on infrastructure you chose. App Store and Play Store submission is part of the job. If you and I stop working together, everything keeps running and someone else can pick it up on the same day.
